On August 18, the 2023 China Computational Power Conference, co-hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region People's Government, was opened in Yinchuan, Ningxia. This year’s conference, themed “Leading the New Industry Trend through Computational Power and Empowering High-Quality Development,” includes one opening ceremony, two main forums, 15 sub-forums, and three special events.
On the afternoon of the 18th, the AIGC Era Data Center New Technology Development Sub-forum was hosted by the China Information Technology Institute in conjunction with China Academy of Information and Communications Technology. This sub-forum, themed “Embracing Industrial Ecosystems, Driving Intelligent Computing for the Future,” has invited industry experts and company representatives to jointly discuss trends in the AIGC era and the technological development direction of data center infrastructure. Dai Zhiqian, the General Manager of CIMC Xinhui, was invited to the launch event for the AIGC Next-Generation Data Center Full-Stack Solution, and Vice General Manager Kong Heqing was invited to deliver a keynote speech on Prefab Modular Data Center Solutions.

AIGC Next-Generation Data Center Full-Stack Solution
01
Actively Engaging in New Infrastructure Trend
Kong Heqing introduced in his speech that to integrate into the national new infrastructure trend, CIMC Xinhui leverages over 20 years of container manufacturing experience and technological accumulation, creating a new “Container + Integrated Equipment” approach. This enables rapid delivery of standardized and mass-produced overall solutions for data center infrastructure, building intelligent data center infrastructure for the future.
Prefab Modular Data Center Solution
Kong Heqing Vice General Manager of CIMC Xinhui
As the intelligence level of large models improves, the computational power required by AIGC continues to grow. How to improve computational power efficiency has become a key to the development of intelligence. Data center infrastructure, as the underlying carrier of computational power output, bears a crucial mission and faces unprecedented challenges amid the surge in intelligent upgrades across various industries. How can we build efficient, green, and extremely simplified computational power infrastructure to help customers convert green electricity into computational power more effectively? CIMC Xinhui offered a new approach—the prefab modular data center solution.
Prefab Modular Data Center Model
Kong Heqing gave an excellent presentation on the innovative technological practices of building a highly efficient data center in collaboration with Chindata. He pointed out that Chindata Group, as a leading neutral third-party hyperscale infrastructure solutions operator in the emerging markets of the Asia Pacific, is a pioneer in building new-generation hyperscale data centers in China and Southeast Asia. It adheres to green and low-carbon principles in planning and construction. CIMC Xinhui possesses extensive experience in modular container manufacturing and excellent product design capabilities, which has formed a strategic partnership with Chindata to lead in technological innovation, providing a new generation of data center solutions that are safe, reliable, high-performance, and sustainable for the AIGC era, serving the global computing needs of customers with high quality.

Supporting Customers with Strategic Planning
With the expansion of global digital businesses, digital transformation upgrades, and explosive data growth, overseas data center businesses continue to thrive.Chindata's Phase 1 Johor hyperscale data center project in Malaysia (hereinafter referred to as the "MY06-P1 project") adopts a modular container-based construction solution for overseas data centers, initiating a new construction mode of "designed, researched, and manufactured in China, shipped as a complete unit, and assembled on site like building blocks."
The Site of MY06-P1 Project
CIMC Xinhui supports Chindata's forward-looking layout, ensuring the smooth delivery of its overseas business. The prefab modules are designed and developed domestically, shipped by sea, and finally assembled on site by local teams overseas, completing work such as civil engineering and module assembly.
The Site of MY06-P1 Project
Compared to traditional infrastructure methods, the on-site construction cycle of the MY06-P1 project's prefab modular solution took only about six months, with on-site assembly taking just 30 days, and from assembly to project completion and delivery, it took three months. These figures set several construction records for Chindata in Malaysia, significantly accelerating the client's business go-to-market time and improving investment return speed.

Moreover, the MY06-P1 is the first data center project in Southeast Asia to adopt the "prefab liquid-cooled modular data center" architecture solution, applying a dual cooling source of liquid cooling systems for servers and indirect evaporative cooling air conditioning. It is configured with ultra-high-density cabinets, compact internal space, and extremely challenging structural design.
To this end, CIMC Xinhui carried out groundbreaking custom designs, improving module internal space utilization and optimizing facilities layout, helping Chindata achieve a PUE below 1.2 in Malaysia's tropical regions, leading Southeast Asia in the best energy efficiency practices.
03
Infusing Continuous Vitality into the Computing Network Field
As technology further penetrates every corner of society, CIMC Xinhui will firmly grasp the significant opportunities presented by the "Digital China" layout and construction. It will continue to deeply cultivate the field of prefab modular data centers, fully leveraging its engineering design capabilities, efficient high-quality manufacturing capabilities, and all-round one-stop delivery service capabilities. It will persistently innovate in the computing network field, enhancing the depth and breadth of the integration between computing power and networks, showcasing its leading technology and full-stack product advantages. This will serve clients and partners and lay a solid foundation for the development of the digital economy.
