The 18th Annual China IDC Industry Gala (IDCC 2023), hosted by the China IDC Industry Annual Gala Organizing Committee and organized by China IDC Circle, was held at the National Convention Center in Beijing from December 12 to December 14.
This year's event, themed "Computational Power Evolution & Digital Creation," focused on industry hotspots and brought together industry elites. CIMC Xinhui showcased its "Prefab Modular Data Center Solutions" at the event and received interviews from Sohu.com, Data Center World Network, and Communication World Network. They discussed the development direction and future trends of computational power infrastructure construction with the attending guests.
Led by innovation, tackling AIGC smart computing challenges.
With the accelerated development of AI business, the demand for smart computing center construction in overseas hot regions has grown rapidly and concentrated. Meanwhile, IT equipment with high computational power has become mainstream configuration. In uncertain and unfamiliar overseas environments, how Chinese enterprises seize this round of market opportunities has become the focal point of the industry. For the computational power infrastructure industry, the emergence of smart computational power will create new opportunities and challenges.
Zhu Jiali, Product Director of CIMC Xinhui Design Research Institute, delivered a keynote speech titled "Seven Months, Opportunities and Challenges for Prefab Data Centers Going Overseas" at the sub-forum on computational power infrastructure construction. He deeply explored the opportunities and practical challenges brought by the explosion of computational power infrastructure demand in the AI era.
In his speech, Zhu Jiali mentioned: "Using the prefab product model to complete more work domestically, prefab data centers may be an ideal solution in overseas application scenarios."
He introduced that CIMC Xinhui adopts prefab construction methods to maximize the transfer of work interfaces to domestic factories, reaching a pre-integration degree of over 90%, thus simplifying the on-site construction process. Additionally, the design service life is up to 50 years, meeting permanent building standards.
Over the years, CIMC Xinhui has accumulated rich experience in building data centers of various scales in different adaptation scenarios. Using a 20MW overseas data center project as an example, Zhu Jiali elaborated on how CIMC Xinhui adopts the prefab modular construction model. Through different stages of work, including product design, factory prefab production, intermodal transportation, on-site block stacking and assembly, internal construction, and system debugging, a project can be delivered in as fast as seven months. This greatly shortens the project delivery cycle, helping customers achieve rapid project launch and business go-live.
CIMC Xinhui, with its excellent manufacturing capabilities and complete supply chain system, performs outstandingly in terms of cost, delivery quality, and speed
Interactive exhibition area, in-depth experience.
Many well-known industry enterprises participated in the 18th Annual China IDC Industry Gala exhibition, and CIMC Xinhui's booth made a remarkable appearance. By displaying models, they vividly showcased their prefab modular data center solutions, attracting many industry professionals for visits and deep exchanges with on-site experts.
According to Research and Markets, the global modular data center market size was $21.3 billion in 2021. It is expected to grow to $52.4 billion by 2027. Prefab modular data centers have evolved from an emerging trend to a mainstream method for constructing data centers. In the hyperscale and co-location data center markets, customers need to expand capacity at unprecedented speeds.
The biggest success of containers lies in the standardization of their products, facilitating transportation. The CIMC Xinhui prefab modular data center solution fully leverages the advantages of containers. It allows for the prefabrication of modules such as power distribution, data rooms, diesel gensets, and IDEC (Indirect Evaporative Cooling) within a specific space, which can be stacked and assembled on-site to help customers achieve more flexible and rapid deployment and relocation.
